Sunday Education Class – starting July 19, 2020 immediately following Worship Service
Being a Reconciling Congregation where everyone is welcome it is good to revisit Bible passages commonly used to exclude people in the LGBTQ community. We will use “Fish Out of Water” – a documentary film as starter of our discussion. Before coming to class read one or more of the following passages in the Bible:
Genesis 19:1-29 – The Story of Sodom and Gomorrah
Judges 19:1-30 – A Levite, A Woman and her father
Leviticus 18:22, 20:13 – Man shall not lie with another man
Romans 1:18-27 – Exchanging natural Relations for unnatural ones?
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 – Wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Timothy 1:8-11 – Sexually immoral … will not saved?
